This is a very popular website that had a large following since it allows folks to list used firearms, bows, and sell puppies for free. Ever since Kijiji started charging for dog ads there was no other local site to post animals that had any real following. TownPost has now been operating for over 10 years and has over 80,000 registered members who all go through a verification process to ensure they have local phone numbers and follow our guidelines.
Facebook and Kijiji (Owned by eBay) are giant tech monopolies so TownPost set out to create an Alberta owned and operated alternative that would give residents a free, easy to use, online community for buying and selling locally. We have local telephone support available, which is unheard of. TownPost has a large number of users over the age of 50, who use the site casually and sometimes need just a bit of assistance when posting an item or changing their listings.
